Septic Service Company Wilton CT
From One Family to the Next
Andersons Septic started over 50 years ago as a small, family-owned and operated septic service company that would become a household name across Wilton and Fairfield County, Connecticut. After 27 years of providing quality service to their community, the Anderson family sold the company to the Andronaco family of Andronaco Excavating: a trusted family-owned and operated business based in Wilton, CT. Recognizing the value and reputation behind the Anderson name, the Andronaco family decided to preserve the company name and run it as it was intended: a family-owned and operated business.
Who We Are

Meet the Family
In Loving Memory of Arnold “Poppy” Andronaco
1934 - 2021
Brian Andronaco Sr.
Brian founded B. Andronaco Excavating in 1984 with his father, Arnold (Poppy) Andronaco, by his side. Poppy was also an excavator who worked side by side with his father! Brian started his business with a backhoe and one dump truck. He took every job that was available. Foundations, septics, house demos, drainage, site work, and small residential projects are a small piece of how the business started. Brian took pride in every job, no matter the size. Brian worked day, night, and weekends; just to learn as much as he could while working with Poppy to build his reputation and business. Brian specializes in septic system installation, design, and maintenance and has that “old school” knowledge that can’t be replicated. He has over 40 years of on-the-job experience. When Brian and his family acquired Andersons Septic Service, it opened them up to a world of opportunity and service to the community they love and live in. Brian makes it a point to personally meet every client to discuss the job and is always willing to work within a budget, time constraints and the needs of the customer. Brian is a State of CT licensed septic installer and designer and holds numerous contractor licenses and certifications. Aside from the business, Brian is most proud of his family and the help he can provide to his customers. Brian stands by his word and his work; while teaching his future generations the value of that. Something you can only get from a true family-owned and operated business.
Brian Andronaco Jr.
Brian Jr. is the son of Brian Sr. Brian Jr. was practically born into the family business. From a young age, he was always by his father’s side in the trucks, excavators, and job sites. Brian Jr. worked side by side with his father and grandfather; poppy, as the business grew. Brian Jr. would ride off to job sites with members of the crew and work with them while learning. Brian most enjoyed riding in the pump truck and learning the ins and out’s of septic system maintenance, operation, and installation. From 2014-2022, Brian Jr. pursued a career in Law Enforcement with the Greenwich, CT, Police Department. During that time, he still stayed connected to the family business. Brian Jr. worked the business on the pump truck or in the field during his off time and between police shifts. Ultimately in 2022, Brian Jr’s family expanded, and he made the decision to go full-time back into the family business with his father! Brian Jr. has a wife and two young boys, who he frequently brings on the job! Brian Jr. can be seen operating the pump truck, running machines on the job, meeting clients, and in the office. Brian Jr. prides himself in working side by side with his father and making sure the business never outgrows that “family feel.” Providing honest service to you is the standard!
Samantha Andronaco
Samantha (Sam) is Brian Sr.’s daughter. From a young age, Sam was also always part of the business and was usually seen on the job with Brian Sr. or in the office with her mother, Gretchen Andronaco. Sam currently solely runs the office of the business. Sam is no doubt the absolute backbone, front line, and billboard for the business. Sam is a wife, mother and runs every aspect of the office for the business. She single-handedly does everything, including answering the phones, scheduling, billing, completing permit applications, connecting with customers, and more. She does all of this while raising her son Henry by her side in the office. Sam is following in the footsteps of her mother, Gretchen Andronaco. Every customer who talks to Sam has said that she is reassuring, pleasant, non-judgemental, and caring. Sam puts the customer’s needs before her own. The best part of her job is being able to build rapport with customers over the phone and learning about the customer’s own family and interests! Sam has a broad range of knowledge in all things septic and excavation that she’s been able to learn and develop from her dad and brother. She can answer every question you have and diagnose / troubleshoot problems over the phone. Sam is passionate about her role in the business, the customers, and the growth. When people ask what sets us apart from every other septic business, the answer is Sam. Call the office, and we promise you will agree.
Anderson Septic FAQ
You may consider installing a new septic system if your existing system is old, malfunctioning, or if you’re constructing a new property or addition that requires wastewater management. Signs such as frequent backups, foul odors, or wet spots in the yard indicate the need an investigation and/or inspection.
Signs that your septic system needs repair or service include slow draining fixtures, gurgling sounds from plumbing, sewage backups, odors, lush vegetation growth near the drainfield, or standing water around the septic tank or drainfield. These signs indicate potential issues with your system that require professional attention.
The frequency of septic tank pumping depends on various factors such as the size of the tank, the number of occupants in the house, and the usage patterns. As a general guideline, it is recommended to pump your septic tank every 1 to 3 years. However, a professional inspection can provide a more accurate recommendation based on your specific circumstances.
If you neglect regular septic tank pumping, the solid waste and scum inside the tank will accumulate into a thick sludge; reducing the tank’s capacity and potentially leading to blockages in the system. This can result in sewage backups, foul odors, and even damage to the drainfield or septic system components, requiring costly repairs. Dont forget if you have an outlet filter too! They require regular maintenance at the time of pumping.
