About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Septic System Installer/Operator to join our team. This position involves performing septic system installations, repairs, and diagnostics, as well as safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their craftsmanship, maintains professionalism on every job site, and can confidently manage or assist a small crew to deliver high-quality results.
This is a hands-on, physically active role that requires someone capable of performing manual labor related to septic system installation.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and troubleshoot residential and commercial septic systems.
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators (1–20 ton), skid steers, dump trucks, and utility trucks.
- Accurately read and interpret engineered plans, elevations, and grade rods (tenths and inches).
- Set elevations, transfer benchmarks, and ensure installations meet design specifications and inspection requirements.
- Lead or support a septic installation crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Maintain tools, trucks, and equipment to company standards of cleanliness and reliability.
- Provide professional and respectful communication with customers, team members, and inspectors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of septic system installation experience.
- Minimum 5 years of equipment operating experience.
- Valid CT Class D driver’s license and DOT medical card (required).
- CDL Class A or B license preferred but not required.
- CT Septic Installer License highly recommended (references required for unlicensed installers).
- Ability to read and work from engineered drawings and as-built plans.
- Familiarity with soil testing, PERC test data, and all aspects of pipework.

Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time position (minimum 40 hours per week)
- 5–6 day work week with occasional overtime opportunities
- Availability for emergency or after-hours work when required
